Tom had a mod podge kind of birthday.

A little of this, a little of that... a little bit here, a little bit there.

He had to work ALL day on his birthday, so we had to get creative. Especially since we had just used up all of our dough in Disneyland. (Yes, I know I still have more Disneyland posts to blog, but I am not feeling it at the moment, so you will just have to wait.)

I won't go into all the details, but his birthday (days) included... homemade cinnamon rolls (those were good), a homemade book made by Logan (with illustrations and all), a car (more on that later), dinner out, miniature lemon meringue pies (they were so cute), and a day of fishing out in our raft.

So, about that car...

I know I said we spent all of our dough on the Disneyland trip, but what we didn't know was that waiting for Tom when he got back was a bonus. (A well deserved bonus, I must say. He has been working his Sass off.)

We have desperately been needing a second car since we moved from Portland, the land of MAX, to Port Townsend, the land of... well... living in the middle of the woods.

So we took his bonus and bought a car.

It was the first time in our married life that we bought a car and didn't have car payments. That means that it is also the crappiest car we have ever owned. I don't have to take Tom to work anymore, though, so I think it is the most awesome car we have ever owned.

Enough about a boring car though. I did snap a few pictures of our fishing expedition. I didn't dare snap them with our "real" camera and risk dropping it in the lake, so I just brought my camera phone. That is why the pictures below have been photoshoped to death.

Enjoy the dead pictures.

Why does he insist on having his tongue out of his mouth half of the time these days?

Alright, after five hours on the raft, I suppose it is time to go home.

umm, so what happens when you hook the side of an infaltable boat while in the middle of a lake on a fishing trip?
