Return of the Triplets

Wasn't it just a couple days ago that I thought about turning the heat back on?
Yes. Yes, it was.
Now I am cursing the fact that we don't have air conditioning and am dreaming of last summer in Portland when I could make my house feel like a walk-in freezer if I wanted to... and often did.
Oh well, the heat does mean more outside fun. We had lots of fun with the Junior twins this past week.
The kids played in the pool.
They thought about squirting me. Luckily, they realized the consequences of squirting me while I held my camera were not worth the fun they would have doing it.
They did, however, squirt Jesse without compunction. In the picture below, they are trying to squirt her as she hides under a bush. Luckily for Jesse, she has a whole forest in which to hide.
I finally filled up some of the water balloons I bought weeks ago.
The kids had fun throwing them off the deck and watching them burst on the rocks below.
They also had fun hiding in the bushes and throwing the balloons at Tom when he got home from work that night.
(Sorry, no pictures of that. I wanted to be part of the fight and I knew that Tom would try to retaliate, which he did. He caught a couple of the kids balloons. He has good aim.)
The "triplets" did not have fun when I sent them out with bags and instructions to find all of the pieces of the popped balloons.
To lighten the mood after that, we decided to have a dance party. Cleaning up might not be something those kids enjoy, but dancing definitely is.
While they danced, I decided to mess around with some of the settings on my camera, just for fun. I didn't expect any of the pictures to turn out... and they didn't. There were some pretty funny ones though, so I decided to post them anyway. I had fun with a couple of them in photoshop.
Those Junior kids are a lot of fun, but they tire me out. I think I am going to go sleep for a couple days now.

I was so jealous of you last summer...all in your air conditioning and not sweating in your sleep. Now you know! :) It's nice to get out when the heat rises. Cute pictures!
