Christmas

Our plan for Christmas was for Tom to take that week off and for us to head to Port Orchard. Unfortunately, that did not happen. Tom is still having staffing issues at work and had to work graveyard shifts (When I say graveyard shifts, that means that he goes in around 10pm and doesn't usually get home until the next afternoon and sometimes evening. When he fills in for graveyard he still has to do all of his Manager stuff. Ugh! I can't wait until things settle down there.) the Sat./Sun./Mon. before Christmas. So... our plans changed to celebrate Christmas morning at our house and then drive down that afternoon. Unfortunately (again), that did not happen. There was some stuff that Tom had to deal with the Thursday after Christmas. So... we decided to stay home and not go down at all. Well, that didn't happen either. After much discussion, and going back and forth on the decision a million times, it was decided that Logan and I would go down to Port Orchard for Christmas and that we would come back and celebrate Christmas as a family on Friday. (Logan is young enough that he wouldn't even know.) It was really hard to leave Tom, but he was going to be just working and sleeping all through Christmas (and it is much easier for him to sleep during the day when Logan and I aren't around). So, Logan and I headed down to Port Orchard.

Logan has so much fun with Jaxson and Sophie. Here is a picture of them jumping up and down on the couch/bed while I was trying to make it. I was very proud of the fact that I was able to make it in no time with three toddlers on it.

Byron and Jenn were in town also, so we got in some good Bridget time. She is so cute!

The twins.

I was trying to get a picture of Sophie and Bridget hugging. I was a little early though.

Little Drummer Bridget

Logan and Sophie have always been such good buds. They would play so well together while Jaxson would just sort of do his own thing. Lately though, the boys have been bonding more and are become good buds also. Logan and Sophie are still tight though. As you can see from these pictures.

Sleepy boy in his new pajamas on Christmas morning.

Like I said before, we were planning on having Christmas on Friday so I didn't bring any of Logan's stuff. I was fine with it, and Logan wouldn't have noticed, but Jill wanted to make sure that he didn't feel left out so she got some stocking stuffers for him. (Well, we were at the store together when she was getting Jaxson and Sophie's and asked if I wanted to get something for Logan. We got three and I was planning on paying for Logan's, but when we checked out it ended up in Jill's pile instead of mine somehow (not on purpose I swear)... along with some snacks I was buying for Logan. So she really did end up getting it for him. Oops. Thanks Jill! I forgot to get you Starbucks to make it up to you... next time we are in town.) Anyway... here is Logan peeking into his stocking. Jaxson and Sophie were also kind enough to let Logan open some of their presents. He actually opened most of them because they were too busy playing with all of their new toys.

After we helped Jaxson and Sophie open their presents we went over to Tom's parents house to spend Christmas morning with them. Here is Logan getting help from Scotty with one of his presents.

As I said before, Tom was not supposed to come down for Christmas. Well, guess who showed up at his parents house that morning. :) It was SO good to see him. I was a little angry though. He worked all night and then drove 3 hours to get there. Crazy guy! Logan was very excited to see him. He hates not seeing his daddy.

It started snowing Christmas morning. How perfect was that?!? This picture was right when it started snowing. We got a lot more snow after that and everything was nice and white.

Funny Scotty eating the snow.

Cousins. I don't know where Dallin went.

That afternoon we went back to my parent's house. That is when the real craziness began. Our family is getting too big. :) Here is Madison giving Sophie a raspberry (I think that is what it is called).

The newest addition to the Godsey family... Rylan.

I am so glad to hear that Tom made it....It made me feel bad at the beginning of your entry because I know how hard that would be. By the way Merry Christmas! I can't believe how big Logan is getting
