The Search for Eggs 2011

Thursday, April 28, 2011

We did the normal scavenger hunt for Logan to find his Easter basket this year.

He loves it.

Although, this year he said, "Mom, can we stop pretending that it is the Easter Bunny hiding my basket. I know that it is you and Dad."

Later that day, Logan set up a scavenger hunt for me, all by himself. At the end I found a note that said, "I love you Mom."

I love that kid.

The day before Easter Logan and I were planning on going to an Easter egg hunt at the Jefferson County Expo, but Tom told us last minute that they were having one at work. Logan loves going to visit Tom at work, so we ended up heading there first.

After that Logan and I headed over to the fairgrounds for the Expo. We killed some time looking at old cars. (Logan liked all the red ones. It is his favorite color right now. He did find a nice green one for me and a cool orange one he thought Tom would like. He is very aware of the favorite colors of those around him.)

Then Logan had to go on the big slide, of course.

After that, it was time for the Easter egg hunt. While waiting for that to start, I mentioned that I was cold and wished that I hadn't left my jacket in the car. Logan took off his jacket and gave it to me, which I then put on my lap, assuming he just didn't want to wear it anymore. I noticed him shivering and offered his jacket back to him and he said, "I gave it to you so you could wear it and warm up."

Did I mention that I love that kid? He is so thoughtful and caring.

After the Easter egg hunt we went and watched some mud racing. That is something that I had never experienced before and I felt very Port Townsend sitting there watching it.

And that was our Easter for 2011.
