Batman or Water?

Friday, September 10, 2010

Logan made a list of all the different kinds of birthday parties he might have. I told him he had to pick just one, but try as he might, he just couldn't do that and decided that he wanted to have a Batman/water party.

So that is what we did.

You might be asking yourself what a Batman/water party is like. Well, let me tell you...

It starts with some lunch on Batman plates.

If you are going to make people drive over an hour to get to the party, you better feed them something.

After lunch, you line them up for a water balloon toss.

Which quickly turns into a water balloon war.

Everyone was disappointed when the water balloons ran out, so that is when we brought out the squirt guns.

Next, you eat Batman cake.

Tom made the cake. I think it was awesome. He will want me to tell you, though, that he wanted the sky to be darker, but he ran out of food coloring.

After cake, we let the kids beat up Batman while chanting, "Give me candy!"

Okay, there was no chanting, but they did do a good job of beating him with a bat. Some of those kids obviously have some pent up aggression.

Logan opened presents after that and then some headed home and some headed down to check out the bunkers and the beach.

Thanks again for coming everyone!

(Sorry about the picture overload. I already deleted so many that I wanted to use for this post and I just couldn't do it anymore. Each time I delete one it rips a little piece of my heart out. What? I am not dramatic.)
