The Decorating

Ever since we have been married, our Christmas tree has been blue and silver. The last couple of years Tom has wanted to change that. I always fought him on it because I didn't want to spend the money on new ornaments.
This year he won. (Halfway)
Red and Silver.
We decided to make our own garland out of cranberries and Cheerios. Tom wanted to buy the generic Cheerios for $1.59. I wanted to splurge and buy the Frosted Cheerios for $2.79.
I won.
(And I will add that I think the white frosting on the Cheerios added a special touch. Tom claims that you can't even tell that they are frosted, but if you get really, really close (and have a magnifying glass) you definitely can. I also like the fact that our tree smells like sugar. Unfortunately, Jesse also likes the way the tree smells. I find her sitting a little too close to it quite often.)
We had some little helpers with the decorating and garland making.

I am really lovin' the cranberry thing!! Great up close pics of the tree, too!
Thanks Karen. I think next year I want to try all cranberries.
You should have seen those pictures before I edited them! They were terrible. I was very grateful I shot them in RAW and could edit the heck out of them.
