Someone turn on the lights!

I am afraid of the dark.
I admit it.
If Tom is out of town, I sleep with the lights on.
This fear does not mesh well with Logan's new love for the dark. Why does he love the dark? Oh, because that is the best time to use all of his flashlights. Yes, that is flashlights... plural. He now has four.
I have posted about this before - how he likes to turn off all the lights and walk around in the dark house looking for animals, or whatever might interest him at the moment. I hate it, especially when he takes me into the bathroom (with no windows), turns off the light, shuts the door and sees what he can spy with his flashlight. Very spooky. I do it, though. I don't want him to have the same fears as I do.
Today, he went too far.
It was about 5:30 pm, which, unfortunately, this time of year means that it was pretty dark outside. Logan had every single light out in the house, except the Christmas tree lights. He probably would have turned those off, too, if he had not just gotten a lecture earlier about not touching outlets. Logan, Bridget and I were walking down the hallway upstairs while they shined their flashlights this way and that. I was trying to figure out how long I needed to play along with this game before I could abandon them to the kitchen to make dinner... with the lights ON.
"Mom, look!" I heard Logan say. "There are people walking in your room!"
My heart just about leapt out of my chest as my eyes shot towards my room. What did I see? Nothing, of course. Logan was just trying to be funny. As for me... it was time to retreat to the safety of the lights.

ok, That is funny that he is trying to scare you! Oh I would be so mad
Oh Betsy! I so understand! I HATE dark bathrooms! They creep me out! We all remember "bloody mary" right? Yup, still scarred from that one....And sometimes, not too often, I even get scared in my house. I'll run through the house turn of all the lights and then literally jump into bed. Those are the nights that I sleep with the TV on, just like when Ben is home.
