Christmas Tree and Temperatures

Tom probably would have gotten a Christmas tree a month ago if I had let him. He loves Christmas time. He has been listening to Christmas music for a few weeks now. He took Logan to soccer Tuesday morning and the minute they walked in the door I heard, "Are you ready to go?" Uh... go where? Then Tom said, "Logan and I decided that we are getting our Christmas tree today." There are a few U-cut farms close to our house and it took us following signs to three different places before we found one that was open. It was the biggest Christmas tree farm I have ever seen. It was also the muddiest. Logan grew an inch as we searched.
We had a lot of fun hiking (yes... hiking) around until we found the perfect tree. Well, the somewhat perfect tree. We got tired of hiking and gave up the hope of finding a perfect one. Do they even exist?
After we got home and Tom had hosed off the tree (Tom had decided to drag it through the mud earlier) we noticed that Logan was acting really tired. Tom mentioned that he was acting that way during soccer also. I felt his head and he was burning up. Poor guy had a temperature of 102.7 and we had been dragging him around town, expecting him to play soccer and hike for a Christmas tree.
He is still sick. His temperature got up to 103.4 yesterday. Today while we were playing with his Legos, I remembered that I had a phone call to make. I told him that I would be right back, but that I had some work to do for a minute. He, unfortunately has heard a lot of that from me lately since I have had to put on my "Property Manager" hat a lot since our renters have moved out. After the phone call I turned around and this is what I found...
Poor guy is just so tired. He is snoring on my bed behind me as I type.

That sounds like something I would do! Not Joe of course, he would of noticed the temp right away, and I would be in trouble for not noticing it.
