Halloween

Since our husbands spent the evening at the Blazers opening game, Jennifer and I spent it together up in their neighborhood. We had a little puppy and kitty with us.
We headed over to a carnival at Jennifer's church building where the kids played a few games.
Bridget didn't understand why you would try to eat a donut without using your hands.
After the carnival we hit a few cars at the trunk-or-treat before heading back to Jennifer's neighborhood to do some trick-or-treating.
The kids had no fear since they understood that people were going to give them candy. They were pros by the end of the night.
Actually, I guess there was a little fear. Logan was walking up to one door when he froze. I followed his gaze and saw a life size scary statue of a hooded man. I was telling him that it was okay and that the statue was just pretend when the statue started to shake. Apparently it wasn't just pretend. The guy took off his hood and couldn't stop laughing. "You should have seen his face," he said. Luckily Logan was okay once he saw that it was a real person and not some creature... and of course he was motivated by the candy he would get at the door.

Sometimes I question Halloween, like when a grown man gets that much enjoyment from scaring a 3-year old.
Great pictures Betsy... I love the one Jennifer took of the two of you... Logan's face is priceless!
Yeah, sometimes I question Halloween also. I am just glad I didn't cave this year when Jake wanted to go out by himself with his friends this year. I tagged along behind too the houses reeking of pot and the grown men jumping out of bushes trying to scare 10 year old kids!
They look so cute! I wish they could have trick or treated at our house. Did you guys have a lot of trick or treaters around?
