4th of July (It's about time.)

Wednesday, July 23, 2008

I know I am a little late posting this one. At least it isn't August yet.

We spent the day of the 4th at my parents house. The guys were working on my parent's addition while the rest of us just hung out with the kids. The previous post is from that day. We had a BBQ once the guys were done working, then Tom and I headed over to Karen's house for some fireworks. Black snakes, bottle rockets and sparklers were some of the favorites among the kids. I didn't get any pictures of the bigger fireworks we had. (I was sick of taking pictures at that point. It is always a battle for me. I love taking pictures and having them to look at later, but I also want to be able to play with Logan or sit back and relax without worrying about the camera. It is all about balance I suppose.)

Way fun pics. Bets what kind of camera do you have. Every time I see your pictures i just wish that ours would turn out as good. Gosh I miss 4th of July 2005! That was a blast! Crazy to think that Logan was still waiting to be born at that time. 3 years old is coming up soon! Where does the time go!

Great pictures Betsy. Its worth it in the long run. I was always anti-picture, anti-video (it seems Michael always had the cameras hanging around his neck), but, now, that the kids are grown... the pics and video are irreplaceable. Something tells me its not all about what kind of camera you have either--it is definitely about the photographer! Love your pictures!
