Disneyland - Those Darn Characters
Tuesday, December 7, 2010
A lot of kids go crazy over all the characters they find walking around Disneyland.
Jaxson and Sophie definitely did.
This was them as we happened upon the ending of a parade.
They were freaking out, pointing out all the characters they could see.
We all stood in line so the kids could get a picture with Goofy. As soon as it was our turn, Jaxson and Sophie took off and practically tackled him.
I asked Logan if he wanted a picture.
"Nah, I'll just watch."
That is how it went every time. Jaxson or Sophie would see someone and beg to stand in line to get a picture. Logan would stand in line and wait, but every time he declined a picture.
He just kind of stood there and looked at the character, deep in thought. Who knows what was going on inside his head.
There was this one time, though. He heard that Tinkerbell lived at Pixie Hollow and decided that we should go there. (Logan has a crush on Tinkerbell.) None of us really knew what Pixie Hollow was all about, just that it always had a long line. The kids really wanted to go, so we had the guys go grab us a couple of turkey legs and we settled in for the long wait. (Just a little advice here. I would never recommend eating a turkey leg while waiting in line. A table and about 100 napkins are a must.)
I have to say, Pixie Hollow was a huge disappointment. Especially to Logan.
"This is it?" He asked at one point.
He expected there to be some rides or something, but it was just a place to get your picture taken with different fairies.
And it was hot.
HOT!
Look at poor Madeline and Logan.
It was hot the whole time we were at Disneyland, but this was different. I thought I would go crazy before we could escape that place.
At least Jaxson and Sophie got to hang with some fairies.
Logan was excited about being able to see Tinkerbell, but when asked, of course, he declined a picture.
